Alcohol Ink Dyed Coasters

Really awesome looking coasters. Made with ink. By yourself. I'm thinking Christmas present.

Materials

  • Ceramic tiles
  • Alcohol ink (try Adirondack)
  • Alcohol
  • Aerosol finisher
  • Paintbrush
  • Paint
  • Rubber pads (for the bottom)

1.Begin by coating your tile with regular drugstore alcohol. This works just as well as the alcohol blending solution but costs a fraction of the price.
2.Once you have evenly coated your surface, start dripping little spots of ink onto your tile. Allow the ink to slide around a bit before adding your next color. You will see that the colors will blend and dance together the longer you let them sit. Keep adding more color, until you have covered your surface completely.
3.If ever you feel like you have added too much color or made a mistake, just use a paper towel to dab up some of the extra ink, then recover with a new color. It’s VERY hard to mess this project up!
4.Once your surface has dried to the touch, take your coaster to a well ventilated area, and spray it with a coat of aerosol finisher to seal the colors. I find that the colors REALLY pop out after this step.
5.Once the finisher has dried, use a paint brush to dab some paint on the sides of your coasters. This will not only finish the edges of your tile, but it will cover up any ink that may have dripped over the edges.
6. Once your coasters are dry, they are ready to enjoy!

Here are some pics of step by step.
Have fun!

Anime Face

A lot of my friends like anime. But none of them would go to this extreme.

That is a 19-year-old girl from Ukraine. (jaw drop) She does all that just with makeup. (jaw hits floor) Yeah.

Here's her eyes tutorial.

Sorry, it's in Ukraine-language.

DIY Workout Shirt

So I was browsing Pintrest (what else?), and found this totally cute workout shirt. Here's how you make it:

Materials:
  1. 1 t-shirt
  2. skissors

  • First, cut off the sleeves, collar, and bottom-ribbon-hem-thing.
  • Flip the shirt over and make a racerback, curving inward from the armpits. then cut a "V" shape from the neckline.
  • Using the excess bottom hemline, stretch it out until it becomes one long string. Knot the string a couple inches above the V
  • Wrap the string down the straps and back again. Then knot, and cut loose ends.
  • Lay the shirt on its side, flattening it out. Starting a few inches up the front, start cutting diagonally until you reach the back.

Here's a pic tutorial.

Have fun!
